TAMARA FYKE

Tamara is editor of Building People: Social-Emotional Learning for Kids, Schools & Communities, a book published by Abingdon Press that brings 12 wide-ranging perspectives on SEL to educators, parents, and leaders. Tamara has authored a new publication which released Summer 2023, Family Matters, Thriving as One. This collection of personal articles and heartfelt life observations will dive deeply into Tamara’s unique role as an educator, and also a mother to three beautifully dynamic, multi-racial, adopted children navigating life together in Nashville, TN.

GAYATHRI NARASIMHAM

Gaythrai is a research assistant professor in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Vanderbilt University, where she works on projects related to young children’s perception and navigation in virtual environments, and STEM and Computer Science learning with high-schoolers. She was previously Associate Director at Vanderbilt’s Institute for Digital Learning where she oversaw production and management of the university’s online courses. She has taught courses in child development, statistics and developmental psychology, and consulted with researchers on exploring the impact of educational technology.
